
PLANT CITY, Fla. – The Plant City community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of a 19-year-old man killed in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on State Road 39 Friday night.
The victim has been identified as Mathew Falkenberg, 19.
The Chain-Reaction Crash
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 9:05 p.m. on Friday, January 16.
Investigators reported that a pickup truck attempted to turn left into a driveway and crossed into the path of Falkenberg’s vehicle, causing an initial collision. The impact forced Falkenberg’s car into another oncoming truck, creating a tragic chain reaction.
The accident happened suddenly, changing lives forever.
