
MACON, Ga. – An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with felony murder in connection with a shooting in Macon Friday night that left a 19-year-old dead, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim has been identified as Dantwan Wynes, 19. The suspect is Zay’vion Ni Seah Dajour Jackson, 18, of Macon.
The Shooting on Hardwick Drive
Authorities said the fatal shooting occurred Friday night in the 400 block of Hardwick Drive. Deputies responded to a report of an exchange of gunfire and found Wynes suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
Violent crime investigators worked overnight to identify those involved in the incident.
Suspect Brought to Authorities by Family
During the investigation, Jackson was identified as a suspect. According to the Sheriff’s Office, he was brought to the Investigations Headquarters by family members.
After additional interviews and investigation, Jackson was taken into custody. He has been charged with felony murder, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, and three counts of aggravated assault.
He is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
